i can play the guitar!!
Tuesday, October 31, 2006
haha... today in class i was watching celine and jingyi and jarrad and edward play the guitar... and suddenly they asked me if i wanted to learn how to play. so i said yes. then edward started to teach me. lols... still have problems playing coz of all that memorisation... but it was really fun. i learnt how to play (ok not the full song but part of the song) dance dance, holiday (hehe i can play the solo chorus), haha you're dead/dammit chorus and what edward calls a nice song that has no name. crystal tried playing the guitar too, not bad. she learnt the haha you're dead/dammit chorus. i love that one. so easy to play, and it sounds nice too. i wish i had a guitar. i also learnt the g chord (although i see no importance in that) but i couldnt figure out why edward loves it so much. i die la... dunno what to make for "our australian buddies". and we're supposed to put up a SKIT. some edited version of 3 little pigs... that im supposed to be helping write. i dunno how that even came about... i didnt even volunteer!! *mumbles something about sabo kia* leaving on sun. super rushed now...

pouring buckets!
Sunday, October 29, 2006
seriously. have you people seen the rain tonight?? i wouldnt like to be stuck out on a night like THIS. the wind is so damn strong!! it blew all the windows i closed open again. while i was trying to close it again before the rain got all over my com wires and caused a short circuit, the wind started up with twice as much vigour as before. and i was fighting with the wind to close the window. you're probably thinking "spaz." in your head right now.. but i swear that was how it was. the wind won by the way. in the end i had to get my dad to lock the window. strong as the wind is, it probably cant blow through metal. good thing is that tonight very shiok to sleep. i just hope this rain wont last till tomorrow morning. this is the kind of rain you need umbrellas for. and anyway, if it does continue till tomorrow, umbrellas wont be of much help.

more about popcorn
reading the popcorn post again, i realised that i wasnt exactly very detailed. so heres more about all those little bits that happened during the making of popcorn!! (and the sequels) ek poured a whole lot of oil into the pan, much to the shock of many of the girls. "popcorn has sooo much oil??" she then poured some popcorn kernels into the pan, followed with... yes, even MORE oil. who knew popcorn was THAT unhealthy? i mean, you dont see oil stains on your fingers everytime u pick up a popcorn kernel! after we decided on having sweet popcorn (due to circumstances... ek didnt bring salt =D) rachel and celine and some other people started singing "sugar we're going down" and you should have seen mrs tong's face... she was totally wincing and looking slighty disapproving yet amused. pity i didnt have my camera on me at that time. suddenly ek decided that listening to popcorn pop was getting boring... and so did we. all of us were all like: "mrs koh! mrs koh! lift off the pan lid so we can watch it pop!" of course we were joking... who wants a popcorn kernel in the eye? ek latched on and replied: "if i lift it off... it'll hit you first." that was easy to counter: "we'll run backwards so u'll be hit!" then since ek obv didnt wanna be hit, she said "bah... no way." we suggested to her she tilt the lid towards us so she could use it as a shield... and suddenly she almost did that!! she lifted up the lid a few centimetres and... ok i'll admit it. i screamed. hey, she was tilting the lid towards us, which would mean that any popping popcorn (and there were a LOT of popping popcorns... from the sound and frequency of the thuds as the popcorn kernels hit the lid) would hit US. i caught a glimpse of the popcorn kernels bouncing around inside and i have to say, they could totally put someone's eye out. thankfully she was only joking. we made caramel to coate the popcorn. except that the "caramel" (actually oil with sugar, since we ran out of margerine) solidified before we put the popcorn into it so it was more like sugar-coated popcorn. pretty tasty though. really tasty!

hooray for popcorn!!
Friday, October 27, 2006
today ek suddenly turned nice... came into our class and asked us if any of us wanted to follow her down to the home economics room... to make popcorn!!!!! needless to say almost all the girls followed. or maybe it was all. never mind, there were many girls, from both 615 and 614. then we went down to the home economics room and watched her pop popcorn!! crys asked: "why is the popcorn still popping?" after she had more or less finished popping the first batch and had just removed the cover. -.-" ek had sparked a search for salt earlier on, bcoz she asked if we wanted salty or sweet popcorn. half of us yelled sweet. the other yelled salty. so she said that she hadnt brought slat but if we could find salt, we could have salty popcorn. and so all the "salty fans" went looking for salt. the "sweet fans" also went looking for salt, so that we could find it and hide it before the "salty fans" found it. lols. but there was no salt. save for a container of something that looked like washing powder that jingyi claimed was salt. the sweet popcorn was pretty good... except that the first batch was chao tar and the popcorn kernels that werent chao tar weren't really evenly coated in sugar and margerine to give them that lovely brownish-yellow tinge movie popcorn has. not complaining though. the first batch was wiped out really fast so ek made another batch. in all we made 3 batches =) the last batch i carried it up to class to share with those unfortunate people who didnt come down for the great popcorn feast (also known as free recess) and gosh you shld have seen the reaction. i went to refill my waterbottle and was gone for about 5 mins only. when i came back, some boys were busy shovelling popcorn onto this wooden board thingy and kerry was shovelling popcorn straight to his mouth. im glad they didnt come down with us. at least we had some popcorn. after that they made us go for some weird dna crash course. that was boring. they were telling us everything we learnt in p4 and p6. and making the dna double helix with beads and toothpicks?? how fun can THAT get? at least we had popcorn. WOOHOO

going to court
Thursday, October 26, 2006
ok i know if you didnt go for the excursion and you read the title of my post you'll be all "omg what did victoria do??" and i assure you, i DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG. it was just an excursion. yay. today 614 and 615 went to the subordinate courts... veeeeeeery big. surprised crys a whole lot by turning up in sch today =P when i came into school (late coz a vehicle broke down right at the traffic light junction and blocked everyone) i went for duty and then cheryl started complaining to me about how someone threw a note down for the 5th floor and then she showed me the contents of the note. WAHAHAHAHA im not gonna say what it was but it was... HAHAHAHAHA (crys noes) then after flag raising she went to 609 to go kill the person who threw the note with sherman. 7.45am le... they still scolding the guy... i was trying to tell sherman that the guy probably acted on impulse by telling cheryl to tell him but she didnt. =( why doesnt anyone take any notice of me? ahh anyway i was scared that mrs tong mark me absent and they all go off without me so i said i'd go up and tell her that im here and then go back down. cheryl said ok so i went. and then ms khoo made me stay for a briefing. ARGH. and so qiao as soon as cheryl walked past eureka (finished with the scolding i guess) ms khoo was all "victoria you can go now!" *big smile*. sigh. but anyway the court visit was NICE. we got to watch an actual court in session. somewhat boring... only 1 judge and 1 witness and maybe 1 lawyer... the whole room was actually quite barren. and then there was this irritating guy who just kept coughing and coughing so loudly... it was hard enough trying to hear the witness who sounded to me like a coroner (yeah it was a trial about unnatural death... ruled as either suicide or murder or wdv) speak, he mumbled so much, but with the coughing it was even worse. and the teachers had warned us to be ABSOLUTELY QUIET when we went into the courtroom. it was supposed to be so quiet we could hear a pin drop but in this trial? it sure wasnt. the judge seemed to think very long... very slowly... so when the guy wasnt coughing the whole courtroom was mostly silence. the judge thought for so long, examined all the evidence so throughly and finally declared an open verdict. whatever that means. then he started in on a case where codeine and morphine was found in the body... this sounded interesting but i never got to find out the outcome. they brought us all out. we had to bow at the state crest on our way out (and in also). we also saw the eCourt which was really nice... and we practised being quiet. lame i noe. crys and i were playing around with what the teacher said about being able to hear a pin drop and we experimented with my tie pin. couldnt hear anything, but maybe that was because the floor was carpeted. the first time we dropped it, someone happened to knock on the wall/chair/table/some other hard surface at the exact time of impact so crys and i totally freaked... like "WOAH YOU REALLY CAN HEAR A PIN DROP AND SO LOUDLY SOME MORE" but we tried it a few more times and then there was no more sound. they showed us a clip on the judiciary system and gave us a briefing. that part was boring. the only good part about that was that they gave us milo and some cake. and i saw the legendary pig woman. i have to say it. good name choice.

how to relieve pain... the painful way
Wednesday, October 25, 2006
i pick up a tube of ulcer cream that claims to relieve pain and i think "hey, pain relieving! cant hurt to try a bit right?" riiiiiiiight. and since i was still ignorant of the chaos that would soon come about due to my ignorance, i put some on. a while later, i realise that my ulcers arent hurting anymore! hooray! "this ulcer cream really works!" i think to myself. then coz i was thirsty, i went to get a drink, not caring that the drink would actually cause me pain (coz thats the way ulcers are, everything also pain) since i was sooooo thirsty. and then after i had gotten my nice cool drink, i was struck with the bolt of realisation of how this ulcer cream relieved pain. IT GLUES YOUR MOUTH CLOSE SO YOU CANT GET AT ANYTHING THAT WILL CAUSE PAIN, AND THAT INCLUDES FOOD, WATER AND AIR. isnt that great? only after 10 mins did i manage to get most of the cream off and finally open my mouth like a normal person. gosh. i am such a freak. i hate ulcers. dunno why xiaxue seems to like them... well fine shes only got 3... but still. oh yar, and i forgot to thank all those people who lent me tissues/offered to lend me tissues when my mouth started bleeding... so paiseh... thankyouthankyouthankyou... and during recess, my mouth started bleeding again for no good reason... i didnt touch it or anything... and suddenly... WOOOSH. so embarrassing. in front of everyone somemore. ugh. i swear, im a freak.

haha so funny
mr siva came in to look after us this afternoon coz hulaoshi didnt come. me n crystal were passing notes to each other and he came over and was all "ur writing a song, rite?" and of course since we weren't we gave him the only possible response: *blinks* "huh?" mr siva then said something about us writing a song about him for him. he gestured over to where celine n jy were playing their guitar (dunno whose it is so im juz putting "their"XD) and said: "ur supposed to write a song about me and they'll play it." and then we realised he was kidding and were like "hahaha." then he went over to sit with celine and jy and caleb n wendy n they were having a conversation that looked like fun so we went over to listen. then he was rattling on about "el condor pasa" and asked us if we knew that song. turned out i was the only one who did. -.-" cant believe crys has such a bad memory though. it was one of the tracks on the cd that we were supposed to play during assembly in the morning last yr. ok we didnt play that track that much (mainly coz me and rennuka kept switching it to weird songs and dedicating them to crystal and laughing about it... tracks like... go ask crystal. i think she should remember THAT part. her memory cant be THAT bad. or maybe it can.) but i could still recognise the tune when mr siva decided to hum it. then he decided he wanted to play it on the guitar and then he kept trying to ask for help. he remembered a bit about where to put his fingers and then celine and caleb tried to help him. although he couldnt play it for us it was still fun. crys thinks he actually knows how to play the guitar but is just pretending not to. i guess i agree. then he wanted to show us his blog. so we turned on the computer. the computer... lets just say it gave LAG new meaning. and after we saw his blog we went to some other peoples blogs... and then we went to watch talkingcock in parliament. OMG so funny sia! and after watching the video i couldnt help but wonder. is hossan leong gay? but gay or not, it was still funny. then mrs tong came in and saw half the class lounging in our chairs watching hossan leong dancing across the screen (yes we projected it onto the screen XD) and she was like "did someone give you permission to watch this?" and then they answered "mr siva" XD!! but who cares as long as we got to see the funny vid? she was gonna walk out again after putting down her bag to go check on stock taking or something but then she saw what was showing on the screen and grabbed a chair and sat down. i heard her mumble "this one very funny must watch" and she was grinning through the whole show! who knew teachers enjoyed mr brown? some people from the other class came in too... so funny to watch. we wanted to play the "tribute to steve irwin" from mr brown show but it took too long to load. oh and btw? dun stone during class. me and crys were doing that and then mrs tong asked us to help her with stock taking. which was really hard coz all the stuff was stacked up on the table... like about to collapse like that... and halfway through, guolaoshi chased us out of oasis. bleah. oh well it was a pretty fun day... apart from the stock taking

an eventful day
Friday, October 20, 2006
ahhh. so good to stretch and crash in front of the com. can u believe it?? they made us watch the "growing years" video today!! and it was amusing. really amusing. the guy who got pimples and always kena teased by his friends... the pimples dun look like pimples. THEY LOOK LIKE WAR PAINT!!! and then there was this girl... so unlucky la she, get her period when she wearing white skirt. and then somehow right, go toilet and wash, no more stains, but yet no water on skirt. so weird rite? but it was kinda funny. and then after that mrs toh went to talk to the girls about "growing up" etc etc etc... i couldnt believe what were some of the questions some of the girls asked. quite a lot of people were sniggering. crys is so lucky she missed it all. after all that they made us play some game. and then they ask questions and put really really really really weird answer choices... so funny i remember this one: when a stranger kisses you suddenly, what should you do? a) tell an adult b) *something about keeping quiet i think* c) say "thank you" (!!!!! XD) so weird rite? then we had assembly. dunno why halfway through the "fashion show" mrs koh (not ek) suddenly burst out laughing like really loudly... "HAHAHAHAHA" and i turned around in shock. mrs toh was grinning. mrs tong was smiling. "what???" i asked. "whats so funny?" there were various responses. mrs koh: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" (very informative) mrs toh: "heeheehee... *mumbles something* men are useless! mrs tong: *something i didnt hear* so. make sense of that yourself. i guess the guy modelling at that time must have done something weird. ahh nvm. and then we had the perth briefing!! yay!!! cant wait to go to perth... sounds like a whole lot of fun.

yay done with homework
Thursday, October 19, 2006
im done with the homework!!! finally!! ok not really done. i've done what i could do. yesh. thats it. and its not my fault that i couldnt totally finish it. well, how are we supposed to finish our maths filing when mrs tong is holding on to half the worksheets? lols. when i realised i didnt have all the worksheets i totally freaked coz you should have seen her when she was telling us she wanted the file on friday. "I'M GIVING YOU A LONG TIME TO FILE AND I WANT TO SEE ALL YOUR WORKSHEETS IN. I'M GIVING YOU A LONG TIME SO YOU CAN GO AND FIND ALL YOUR MISSING WORKSHEETS." or something like that. but it was still veeeeery scary. until yiwye told me that mrs tong said that she was still holding onto a lot of the worksheets so thankfully... we dont have to file in all of them. yeah! also finished corrections for all the chinese practice papers. dunno why hulaoshi still wants the corrections, psle over already. but oh well. if she asks for it, better do. at least i finished what i could. my conscience is clear! and my music collection is now officially WEIRD. thanks to rach, who sent me the goofy goober song and the pck sars rap. and a whole lot of shouty tunes from mcr. sigh. but hehe... i have 142 songs now ^^

mediacorp drama serials
Tuesday, October 17, 2006
its not that im anti-singaporean or anything, but i have to say the drama serials we make arent all that nice. come on. they're predictable!! major ingredients of most singapore drama serials #1 guy meets girl #2 guy hates girl and the feeling is mutual #3 guy and girl find out that they have a mutual friend #4 said friend brings them together (yanoe, "accidentally" bump into each other?) #5 guy n girl fall in love #5a (optional) guy chases after girl in bus or something to try to declare his love for her and wdv soppy crap, coz the girl thought that the guy didnt love her so she decided to immigrate to malaysia or sth. #5b (cont'd from abv) guy stops chasing after bus coz... HE CANT RUN AS FAST AS A BUS! (common sense was obviously not in the requirements) #5c (same again) he stops n pants n cries and wails #5d girl comes to him. they declare their everlasting love on the beach. or singapore river. (what happened to all the luggage? they never show the luggage the girl brings with her) #6 A COMA!!! the girl goes into a coma #7 guy keeps vigil by girls bedside. sobs into her hands. *pls wake up, pls pls PLS wake up* #8 girl wakes up, always twitching her finger first. process: finger twitches. guy notices. he grabs the girls hand really tight and calls her name. girl opens eyes and looks at him lovingly. ugh. #9 doctor pronounces a clean bill of health and next day she cna go home! #10 they all live happily ever after by the last episode and have lots of kids occasionally they throw in a third party or 2. but its always the same thing. and the coma part is really common, and the ONLY way to wake up, it seems, is by twitching ur fingers then opening ur eyes. whats the connection? i really dun get drama serials. especially those like that ancient tong xin yuan thing a few years back. THAT SUCKED. hey, whose life has so many twists and turns theres a whole sequel? its ridiculous. cmon, GET SOME REALITY HERE!!!

even the mouse hates me!
gosh. this long break is really starting to get on my nerves... and apparently, everything in the house is turning against me. i spilled a drink on myself this morning (and i never do that bcoz im usually careful) and the wireless mouse just ran out of batteries. this is ridiculous, i just changed its batteries last week! usually they last for about 2 or 3 weeks... -.-" wonder what i did to incur the wrath of a MOUSE but... oh well. sorry mouse. for whatever i did to insult you. the haze is back. AGAIN!!!! just when i thought YAY its over no more running around in a darkened house (the windows are tinted so when closed its like nighttime. well almost.) and no more wishing for oxygen tanks and no more psi index blocking my view when im watching tv, poof! it had to come back. during our psle marking day holidays too! if it was during school days at least it wouldnt be so bad. i mean, haze or no haze, we're all gonna be cooped up in school being bored idiots. but during the *holidays*... WE HAVE THE OPTION TO NOT STAY COOPED UP AT HOME BEING BORED IDIOTS BUT YET WE ARE FORCED TO BCOZ PSI ABOVE 100 CANNOT GO OUT. well you can, but only if you wanna rub your eyes so much that they get infected and sneeze like joel and cough up your innards... might as well not go out. so you see why everything is sian? cannot go out. walk around in dark house like hungry ghost. tv where got nice, little kc dominates EVERYTHING. play com... also got time restriction de... cannot call friends to talk. phone bill too high. (it wasnt MY fault) anyway rach i can talk to her anytime on msn. crys not even in singapore, call also get answering machine. and we all know how FUN it is to talk to an answering machine. NOT. and sorry if im ranting, coz theres nothing funny to post about these days... stuck at home so all i can do is rant.

Monday, October 16, 2006
haiz. we're all gonna be leaving primary school soon... real soon... and all that will be left of these 6 years (3 years for some) at rosyth are just memories. i think im gonna be one of those who are gonna cry on the last day of school... its just so hard to say bye to all those people we've known for so long... passing round autograph book. hope u all will sign... going to rgs after this. wonder how the last day at rosyth and the first day at rgs will be like. definitely like nothing i've experienced before. nothing at all. leaving my old school doesnt even come close. i had practically no friends there! so i must say, it wasnt really heartbreaking to leave it. (though i must say, listening to one of my classmates say that one of my enemies had tried sucking up to me again: "pls pls help me tell victoria im soooo sorry" was really amusing. it was shot down by a "NO WAY IF SHES REALLY SO SORRY TELL HER COME FIND ME LA" ^^) and yeah. dunno what rgs will be like... absoulutely no idea at all. cant say im not excited though. oh well. sometimes i dunno whats wrong with me. i cant wait for the next school year to start but i cant bear for this one to end. must check medical encyclopedia. early onset of mental illness? heck. i'll put it down to pure WEIRDNESS

um... ok....
right. heres a new post, for rachel's sake. (now will you stop bugging me?) erm... dunno what to post... i mean, its the HOLIDAYS after all... nothing interesting will ever happen... bcoz im stuck at home all the time. bleah. im so sian. watched signs yesterday... rerun from last year... dunno why i so stupid go and watch again... although i remembered most of the plot and was yawning through most of the thing, i forgot there was an alien left in the house after they came out from the cellar after the alien invasion ended and i was like all "YAAAARGH!!!!" hey it was freaky ok? but although this was the 2nd time i was watching it, i couldnt really make sense of the whole thing. i mean, half the time it was *mumble mumble mumble alien mumble mumble hostile mumble mumble END OF THE WORLD!!* and there i was: -.-" thinking: "erm... whats going on? apart from the aliens that are hostile and are gonna cause the end of the world..." turns out i didnt miss much. there was nothing apart from the aliens that were hostile and gonna take over the world. except for a clumsy guy who managed to break their only light source in the cellar (apart from the torchlights) by swinging a pickaxe around. and i'm still wondering. why couldnt the aliens juz bash the door to the cellar where they hid in down? i mean, they've gotta be clever enough to be able to just kick the door open, pickaxe under the doorknob or not. judging from the state of the door, even I could kick it open. and the little girl? bo fess or something? she was really freaky... whole day go around expressionless... except for the time when she burst into tears at the dining table... and who wears a cinderella dress at home?? i know shes kinda young but.... ew. cinderella dresses are so... and the weird thing is, she dreamed that her brother was gonna have an asthma attack in the underground cellar and he wouldnt have his medicine with him so he would almost die, but she didnt think to bring the medicine with her when they went into the cellar? thats why this show is weird. weird and spooky. but nice nonetheless =]

wondering who that weird "unknown" person is. thanks to josie who told me about that weirdo comment. hmm. anyway... guessing that "unknown" is nameless, considering that he/she/it doesnt even know who he/she/it is. it must be really sad, to lead a life not knowing who you are. I for one wouldnt be able to take it. imagine: "hi, my name is XXX. whats yours?" you: "um... um... uhh.... hi... my name is... erm... OMG I GOTTA GO NOW SEE YA LATER!!!!" *flees from scene* gosh. how tiring. and just a poll: how many ppl out there find munglin irritating? now im just telling things from my own point of view, so munglin if you read this dont go running to tell hulaoshi without doing some "zi wo fan xing" first. bcoz that day in the test centre, i was sitting in my seat, staring at the whiteboard/into thin air and suddenly i heard munglin go: "victor! oi victor!" i knew he was referring to me bcoz well... he's called me that b4, but since its technically not my name, i ignored him. what followed next really made me wanna choke: "stop staring at me!" why would i want to stare at him? im not one of those weirdo psycho stalkers who go around staring at people, begging for a punch. so i decided, ok, my conscience is clear, let him think that way, i shant waste MY breath on him. AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID??? he turned around to face joshua ng. "victor just likes to look ar me." he said, in this smug tone. ew! i totally wasnt, i mean, i have better things to do!! and i wonder how is it, he goes complaining to hulaoshi just bcoz someone calls him moron, but he can go around calling others "bitch"? u tell me, is this even FAIR?

IM STUCK AT HOME AGAIN!!!!!! the fever suddenly went up pretty high last night so my mum decided to take back her words and make me stay home again. she says that the briefing is NEXT WEEK not today so i can stay home and not miss anything. sian. so damn boring lor... i hate being sick. wondering if theres anything fun going on at school that im missing. probably not, considering that after psle its juz freeperiodfreeperiodfreeperiodfreeperiod... u get the idea. and free periods get sian after awhile. sure, ur friend can come over and talk (if you can even TALK) (if u cant, its not much fun) but hey, girls talk fast and after awhile its "lets go reminicise about things that happened eons ago" and all "hey, remember the time when kevin pulled up his pants so high?" and "remember the time when edward pantsed justin" and a whole lot of "remember the time when"s. getting a headstart on old-woman-hood. blah. maybe being stuck at home is more fun. at least i have the com for company =)

stuck at home
Thursday, October 12, 2006
when i woke up this morning, my mum told me to get back in bed and go back to sleep. bcoz she said that i wasnt going to school today. guess that fever yesterday had greater repercussions than i expected. ok i admit that i was still running a fever this morning... a slight one but a fever nonetheless... haiz. mrs koh (not ek) called me this morning. to ask me how i was. which i replied with a somewhat grunted "better" (although im not really better its always the standard answer so...) so now im stuck at home while you ppl at school enjoy yourself with free periods and arm wrestling and whatever crap or little india challenges. blah. good news (bad news for some) is that im gonna be back at school. my mum finally relented and agreed that i could go to school tomorrow, fever or no fever. thank you, perth briefing! or then again... haiz. crys not even gonna be in school tomorrow so whats the point? (oh yar crys have fun in beijing) so i'll have to amuse myself during those free periods by staring into thin air and looking retarded or doing something else. argh. and as expected... nobody online. i'd be surprised if there were though. its after all technially school hours. in order to make up for not attending the chess competition in school today, i ended up playing against myself on one of those 2 player chess websites. i gave up halfway though, bcoz i was struck by the realisation that no matter which side won, i would still win. bleah! and theoratically, it would end in a draw, bcoz both sides are equally strong. i dun want to do theory. grade 6 theory sucks. its so hard!! and i've been stuck on the SAME OLD BORING TOPIC for 3 weeks now... my piano teacher says she wants my psle to be over before she teaches me anything new. not that i cant move on. im apparently a faster learner than the sec 4 student whom shes also tching grade 6 =) and i dun want to practice my pieces. not fun to play when you cant play through the piece at once. haiz. back to staring into thin air then.

at least its over. the last paper is over!! and we're now technically free!! cant wait to get back to school. wonder if its gonna be free periods whole day (yeah right like the teachers will ever condone it... but we can hope rite?) ms khoo owes us pe periods. like a lot. not that i like pe or anything, but she said something about a dodgeball match with the teachers. cool huh? its our revenge for the millions of practice papers which will add to singapores garbage disposal problem! (or create one if there arent any yet) or at the very least, clutter up my whole room so i cant get to the upper deck of my bed =( if we could make up the rules for the dodgeball game, we should have all teachers on the inside and students on the outside. add 1 ball every min, see how long it takes for all the teachers to be hit. but then when its time to change sides... *mumbles something like owch* cant wait to go to perth. i hope its gonna be fun and not boring... like whole day go see all those "tourist attractions" with old aunties oohing and aahing over them. too bad there are no theme parks in perth. and after the school year ends... we wont be coming back to rosyth for another year (unless you fail ur psle and never graduate) of school... most of us going to rgs/nanyang/hwachong/ri/nushs. sian. currently passing around autograph bk... hope everyone will sign =) but it looks like i might to have to dig into my pocket again to get another one... due to somebody... *glares at rachel* oh well. at least psle is OVER!!!!!!!!

woots! science paper is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was surprisingly simple =) except for that question about the plants and the coloured lights and the control. what exactly is the answer to that question? the control i mean. i said it was a plant with white light. rachel said it was a plant with no light. crystals was far by the best: a dead plant. but which one is correct? i mean, crys said that white is a colour, but its like saying plain is a flavour (as in plain flavoured milk) a plant with no light proves that the bubbles collected at the top of the test tube come from the plant and not a leak in the beaker or something. a plant with white light... what does that prove?? i guess its something about comparing the rate of photosynthesis in plants wiv coloured light and white light. but is that still a control? sorry... sorry... i know science is over and most of you will probably be screaming at me in the tagboard "SHUDDUP ABOUT SCIENCE ALREADY!" but yeah. i just need that answer!!! oh well. at least theres just higher chinese left!! all we have to do for higher chinese is copy from the text and we'll be ok!! i love higher chinese. and the best thing is: YOU CANT STUDY FOR HIGHER CHINESE!!! so i can spend the day on the computer! woohoo!!!

DOWN WITH REVISION!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday, October 08, 2006
admit it... we all hate revising. i mean, whats so fun about looking at your old science worksheets and trying to figure out what made the teacher give you a big red cross instead of a nice tick and a happy face. (pms maybe?) and then after you figure out the reason (assuming its not pms, since we cant do anything about that, can we?) you figure out a NEW answer. (or just read the corrections and make sure you remember it) the only thing that beats doing more and more practice papers is going through them. at least going through it in class was ok, i could copy answers from wendy and relax for a bit... and watch edward and wendy be gay or sing my humps or do whatever they're doing that particular day. come on, even comparing marks with kerry (he always beats me) is even better than looking through ooooooold notes. they say, "dont keep looking back into the past, look to the future!" but what are we doing? looking into the past and moping over all our mistakes. sian. revising is so boring!!! *trys to look on the bright side and reminds self that after tomorrow, i can more or less relax. and the day after, im freeeeeeeee!*

bleah... a day spent sianding
Saturday, October 07, 2006
so sian today... first i had to go for piano and get my grade 6 books... the scales and sight reading and pieces are sooo hard!! wonder if im gonna fail this grade... then the haze is getting seriously bad... in the morning it was 134, before going down to 89 in the afternoon and finally peaking at 150 at night. at least i get aircon tonight! but the smoke really stinks... i hate the smell. and is it me, or is it getting hard to breathe? its like, you inhale and inhale and inhale but you dont get enough air... procrastinating... leaving revision till tomorrow... then must chiong like siao lor. cram and cram and cram if i ever want my A*. grr. well, at least its the LAST IMPORTANT PAPER!!! then we're gonna be as good as FREE!!! as i mentioned before, higher chinese doesnt matter that much =) today i went to compass point. there was this set of doors that said "push" and then this widdle kiddie was trying to open it. gosh it was really comical! he was going all "push push push!" (or actually, as he said it: "prooosh prooosh prooosh") but instead of him pushing the door open, it was pushing HIM back. he managed to get it open a little (like 3cm) and then the door started pushing him back. his shoes were sliding on the floor. although he only looked about 2 or 3, you really must admire his perserverance (or maybe... blurness? sotongness? i dunno)

psle...
haiz... psle sia... when it seemed so far away at the start of the year... i guess we cant run away from it... its coming for us sooner or later. and it sucks. totally. i mean, i made a careless mistake in maths... -2... *sobs* and the english paper was just barely do-able. chinese was ok... but there was that tricky question abt the whole "i wun fight with u for the com anymore" question... so weirded i dunno how to do... tikam tikam hope i got it right and theres still science. overheard zx n yiwye saying sth abt "there will always be 1 tough paper each year" and since all the papers we've had so far are easy... so... ms khoo isnt making it any easier. shes always smirking, like she knows something we dont. man what if the paper is really hard and ms khoo knows it and shes not gonna tell us?? higher chinese isnt really gonna matter seeing as most of us arent applying for sap schs, so the extra 3 marks or 2 marks isnt gonna be counted anyway. sian. haiz anyway good luck to all u ppl taking psle out there. fingers crossed the last 2 papers are easy.
