confessions of an (airheaded) mugger

Bet you thought this was going to be witty. But in the interest of Internet safety and all that jazz, I shall refrain from divulging highly sensitive information, including age, telephone number, and weight. I guess a name is ok though; how else will you know it's me? (But seriously, kids, don't talk to strange old men on the Internet)
I do adore owls though. But you already knew that so I guess that's ok too.

Dear body,

For one day, I would like to be completely healthy and free of health problems.

On Tuesday, you gave me food poisoning. It was not a pleasant sensation.

On Wednesday, you gave me a toothache. I had to walk over to Hougang Point 3 times to get an appointment. When I finally got it, the doctor took an xray and told me that my teeth were screwed. I hope you are happy.

This morning, I had to skip school again for the second time in 2 weeks just so I could get my nerves pulled out of my tooth in a root canal treatment. It hurt, so I had to get an extra dose of anesthetic.

Now the entire right side of my face is numb. When I tried gargling, all the water that went in came sloshing right out the other side. I feel like a stroke patient.

Tomorrow, what's it going to be? Radiation poisoning?

Body, please stop this. I have just started recovering from my ulcers, and they still kind of hurt. I am sad enough without having to be plagued by a variety of exotic diseases. I now have to time my medicines perfectly so that they don't clash and neutralise each other, or cause an overdose.

So. If you would find it somewhere in your heart to let me spend one day as a healthy, normal person, I would be extremely grateful.

Much love,

Victoria.

We have the cutest laoshi EVER.

We were reading Zhu Zi Qing's "Bei Ying" in class today (Yes I know it's an old story; we read it in primary school too -_-) and I asked laoshi if the writer was a guy or a girl. Because for the longest time ever, I'd thought the writer was a girl, and laoshi was talking about the writer as a guy, and I was getting kind of confused.

Laoshi looked a little amused and replied that the writer was a guy.

I was horribly shocked. SUCH A WUSSSSSSS.

Laoshi was understanding about it. "Yeah, for a guy, he sure cries a lot, doesn't he?" And then he spent the rest of the lesson poking fun at Zhu Zi Qing for crying so much.

I quote: "So, come, look at question 4. Find 3 instances when he cries! Okay, there are actually 4, but you just have to name 3. He really cries a LOT."

"Nan zi han liu xue bu liu lei. So you all don't like boys who cry la. Means you prefer boys who bleed?"

"But then again, those Korean boys you all like very much always cry a lot also right >)"

"The author's grandma dies, he cries. His father buys him oranges, he cries. His father says byebye, he cries. His father dies, he CRIES AGAIN! :D"

"I don't really cry much."

"I'm a real man! I don't cry, I bleed. Even when I watch touching drama serials and I feel like crying. But even then I don't cry."

At the end of the lesson laoshi had this really cute smug look after exerting his considerable authority over Zhu Zi Qing. Which would have been really annoying had he been a young hot blooded male who likes to bleed, because that was just a supreme exercise in egotism. But because he was old and cheery it was awesomely cute.

Which led Crystal to comment, "Aww! I want to be an old man too!"

Rachel, uh, I mean, Llessur, left a note for Crystal today. It was also about bleeding. Something about practising Flight of the Bumblebee so much just to impress Crystal, that his fingers bled. Muahahah. And it was decorated nicely with red ink, uh, I mean, blood.

Hoho I spot a cute tag! Anon, that is, uh, lovely! :D

I was joking with Crystal about what to do if people attempt to pull rank on her and boss her around, and that includes rolling her eyes heavenwards, raising her arms, taking a deep breath, and bellowing:

"I CALL UPON THE SUPERIOR POWERS OF TEMPORARY CHAIRHOOD VESTED UPON ME BY VICTORIA, SACRED CHAIRPERSON OF THE HOLY AVPA CLUB 2010, AND EMBLEM OF ALL THAT IS GREAT AND POWERFUL!"

And when all the thunderclouds have been appropriately summoned from the heavens, and lightning is crackling left right centre and pulling rank people have been reduced to a cowering mound, she must go, in the deepest voice imaginable:

"I, IN THE NAME OF THE TEMPORARY CHAIRHOOD VESTED UPON ME BY VICTORIA, SACRED CHAIRPERSON OF THE HOLY AVPA CLUB 2010, AND EMBLEM OF ALL THAT IS GREAT AND POWERFUL, HEREBY BANISH YOU TO OUTSIDE, AND A POX UPON YOU!"

It is SO addictive saying that. I tried it on a few times for size (obviously without the "temporary chairhood" bit, for I am Victoria, the sacred chairperson of the holy AVPA Club 2010, and emblem of all that is great and powerful) and it felt great and powerful. Surprise, surprise. It is a little long, but who cares.

To make up for the whining I shall post about the most exciting event in my life: Doing jian baos!!! :D :D :D

(Yeah, well, I LIKE doing jian baos. Don't judge me.)

Laoshi finally got around to checking who'd been handing in jianbaos regularly. Apparently, we are supposed to have done 7 jianbaos by now. A good number of people have not handed in 6 of them.

So I went back home to count the number of jianbaos that I have done. I have finished 10, and handed in 9 of them ._. Somehow I have managed to hand in 2 extra jianbaos, and laoshi marked them anyway!

He marked one as a xiaolianbi though, which was kind of odd because the topic I wrote about was completely different from the xiaolianbi topic. If my jianbao was marked according to xiaolianbi standards I would have totally pian ti-ed already. But he still gave me 25. ._.

But anyway, that's not the point. The point is that I just realised that I can hand in as many jianbaos as possible and he'll still mark them anyway :D So this week I'm going to hand in 7-- one per day, since everyone hands in all over the place anyway.

And I'm going to do another zuowen over the weekend, and hand it in as well. Because a lot of people also haven't handed in. So I think laoshi will just assume I'm one of those who're handing it in late, even though I already handed in like last last week.

Oh man this is such an awesome idea. I can't wait :D

9:58 PM

Mr Lee is probably extremely pissed off at us right now, because for the second time in three days our EXCO members have not shown up for training as they ought to.

(Seriously guys, is it that hard to check your email/check the timing instead of using your not-always-accurate sixth sense? And it's not even the first time lah wtf)

I thought I was feeling a little better, but now I see that I must retract that statement because my fever from yesterday still hasn't gone down.

And my allergies, for some obscure reason, have started up again and my nose won't stop running, never mind that the likes of this hasn't occurred in about many many many months.

Plus I got really dizzy on the train home, but that was probably my fault because I was reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

I HATE DARCY. WHY DO GIRLS FANGIRL OVER HIM. HE IS SUCH A BITTER AND SARCASTIC ASS THAT I TOTALLY SIDE WITH ELIZABETH WHEN SHE THROWS HIM INTO THE MANTELPIECE. Although I suspect the last bit is part of the stuff that was edited along with the "and Zombies" in the title.

HA HA HA I JUST REALISED SOMETHING FUNNY.

The cell sample for our DNA sequencing was taken from our mouth. And as I've ranted previously, by making us slosh saline wash or whatever inside our mouths for 30 seconds, when a simple cheek scraping would probably have done the same.

But okay this is where it gets a little gross. Since I have ulcers, with indeterminate causes, I should logically have more DNA floating around in my mouth, from the bacteria and all that. And if it's viral, I should have all that plasmid DNA and dunno what shit.

So when I collected my DNA from the saline wash, I probably collected a couple of plasmids and bacterial DNA as well!!

I can't wait for sequencing. I'll probably end up with like, 78 chromosomes or something, what with all those plasmids. So exciting! I shall own everyone and their puny 46 chromosomes. FEAR ME MUAHAHAHA.

9:26 PM

MY LIFE IS AWESOME, MY LIFE IS GREAT, AND I AM TOTALLY NOT DELUSIONAL :)

I messed up Bio prac today because I felt half dead. It was gross though, so, whatever. I mean, seriously, isolating one's DNA from spitting out gargled saline water? Excuse me, but ew. The taste of salt lingered in my mouth for super long afterwards. It wasn't the nice salty kind of taste, but the disgusting sterile salt kind of taste; the kind they give you in hospital salt solutions. I never really use those; I just slosh most of it away and make my own.

I wonder if it's worth worrying that my ulcers don't hurt even when I swish salt water?

My YDSP application is screwed too ): Because I applied for the one that needs a test, and it wasn't in the class trays, and Ms Ning probably sent it to the wrong email address, ohnoes. And the deadline was, um, today.

But even so, I shall remain cheerfully optimistic because tomorrow I can come home early and sleep! Yay! I love afternoon naps, even though it makes me frightfully unproductive.

Oh yeah! More kiddy wisdom:

Kid: "LOOK! They're playing Heart Attack! Can we play Heart Attack too? Like Michael Jackson!"

2:49 PM

I have succumbed.

Couldn't get out of bed this morning. Not for at least 10 minutes, and then I dragged myself out of bed, fell asleep on the toilet, woke up and collapsed when standing at the sink.

So at my mother's insistence, I went back to bed. But you totally have to give me points for persistence.

Anyway I am sick, tired, and I've just realised that one never truly appreciates how sick on is until one has enough time to loll around at home and think about how sick you are. I also finally managed to check on my ulcers, and they are not doing well. I am kind of worried about Yawp on Friday, but it's okay, I shall enunciate if it's the last thing I do!

But it's thundering, and I am terrified. Maybe it was my encounter with little kids yesterday, but I seemed to have descended into little kiddy-dom. When I woke up this morning for the second time, I wrapped myself in the blanket because that would protect me from monsters, and then went outside with my teddy. And then it started thundering, and I had to call my mummy and wail. (She was more worried about rain getting on the floor than my nerves though.)

Boo hoo hoo. I feel like an invalid.

2:36 PM
Tuesday, April 20, 2010

My mum is awesomely reliant on technology.

She was watching this Korean period drama which we bought for her for her birthday, and it's like Da Chang Jin all over again except that it takes place in the drawing area instead of the kitchen.

So anyway, there's this coup going on in the palace, and the late emperor hid clues to it under this rock that looks like a turtle in some mountain, and hid a letter behind a picture of three men pointing to the turtle. All that fuss, when writing a note would have done. But whatever.

And then everyone is supposed to go on this huge hunt for the turtle, and save the king! Yay! Except that it's kind of dark, and the turtle is kind of small. Enter drawing department! And the heroine stands on a chair, and says that everyone needs to draw this turtle, but, like, bigger, so that everyone can see it, and draw as many copies as you can.

My mum, upon hearing that, scoffed and said, "Just photocopy la! DUH!"

The drama was probably set around, I dunno, the 1500s? Or something like that. Because Korea was still Korea and not DPRK+South Korea. And they had to light candles for light. So yeah.

--

Anyway, I think I'm starting to like interacting with primary school kids. They are pretty adorable, if you open up your heart and be smiley and you know. Yeah.

And they remind me of being tiny again! Like, being small and cute and being all afluster when no one told me whether or not I could use a pencil to write my name.

Seriously, when you tell them to write their name, you have to say this: "Write your name, class and date on the top right hand corner of the paper, using a pencil!" And then they'll tip out their whole pencilcase, search for their favourite pencil and ruler, write their name, class and date (with day included) and underline everything.

But whenever I talk to them, and hear their little kiddy wisdom, I feel like an old fossil. They're primary 3 and have MSN and Facebook, and play Maple. I only started mapling in P6, I think, or maybe the end of P5, because I held out :D And we gave them a handout with a picture of the Sims and they immediately recognised it. Did I mention that they're only about 9?!

And that wasn't even the most disturbing moment of the day. It was when this girl was talking to me during our small group discussion, and she wanted to bring up an example about "This game I played, you know, it's called Grand Theft Auto."

GRAND THEFT AUTO. 9 YEAR OLD KID. WITH BIG INNOCENT EYES.

Anyway more bits of kiddy wisdom, before I collapse for the night.

Kid: "We know our world is REAL, because we have dogs. The virtual worlds in the games don't."

5:07 PM
Monday, April 19, 2010

I have a lot of things to blog about today, because I took a very long shower and I usually think about stuff to blog about when I bathe. But I probably caught a cold, and that's not good because I'm already sick[er than usual] and I look pale and ghostly and worrisome everyday at school.

So right.

First, this is an old post, but I feel a cry for help can not and should not go unanswered: Crystal desperately seeks a stalker!

One day, I was sitting next to her and calmly eating my recess, when she took out her handphone, looked at it, and sighed plaintively. Then she turned to me and said "Vic, will you sms me?" Since there was obviously no point, and smses cost 5c when I could just reach over and smack her for free, I chose the cheaper option and smacked her. "Why the hell should I?"

Anyway, it seems that she wants to see an sms everytime she turns on her phone, so I told her to get a stalker. And she said she'd want to, but she can't get one! Oh noes!

So I am appealing to the many people who supposedly read my blog, but don't tag. If you know a stalker, or are one yourself, please introduce yourself to Crystal. Preferably with a diamond ring and a burning urge to commit yourself to her for all eternity. Please sms her every 5 minutes, and get paranoid and think she's cheating on you if she doesn't reply, and get paranoid and think she's going to dump you if she replies something like "GO AWAY LEAVE ME ALONE AHHHH"

As her good friend I want nothing more than the highest quality stalkers for her.

But I am kind of woozy because I caught a cold, and I think I shall go sleep now, so apply directly to her please :)

It's strange how fast watermelon bubble tea runs out when you share it with people!

On the other hand, YAWP rehearsals are tomorrow!

Come and support us during the actual thing, guys :D It costs $5 because HC wants to make money, but whatever, I'm sure it'll go towards a good cause, like maybe buying watermelon bubble tea for their ELDDS members.

So yeah, come watch.

6:50 PM
Thursday, April 15, 2010

I am so angry with my dad.

He keeps turning off the main power to our TV set, because he thinks it will "overheat".

And if I've told him once, I've told him like pi34756-4q756pqeuy9pear87yu8hp0e1y78r6ps80 times that LEAVING IT IN STANDBY WILL NOT CAUSE THE FREAKING TV TO SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST, but NOOOOO HE CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT.

So today I turned on the TV's main switches, and then taped over them with lots and lots and lots of tape, so that he'll finally GET THE DAMN MESSAGE.

I don't care if I've spoilt the plug, or whatever. I am NOT reaching over to turn on that stupid damn switch EVER AGAIN.

And if he somehow manages to turn it off, I will take my hammer and smash the TV into tiny, tiny bits. I swear I will, never mind that it's new and really nice. I will make sure he never watches his stupid Channel Newsasia programmes again.

And damn it, I do NOT have anger management issues.

5:52 PM
Tuesday, April 13, 2010

When Mr Toh told us this morning that tomorrow during CLE, we'd be having a "lovely discussion on the Sandra Leong article", I nearly bit my tongue and committed suicide.

Because I am sick, and I am tired, of people saying stuff like "SANDRA LEONG IS AN EFFING FALLACIOUS BITCH OMG AFSOFGSDFSD" and "YOU LOSER SANDRA LEONG IS RIGHT YOU ELITIST SHITBAG" and "YAH OKAY MAYBE HER WRITING SUCKS BUT HER POINTS ARE TOTALLY VALID YOU NARROWMINDED ASSES".

Guys. Everyone. Can we just leave her article alone, and all go eat a cheeseburger happily? Or a salad, if you don't eat beef. Or whatever.

I don't care if her issues are valid, or if she's fallacious, or if I am an elitist shitbag or I am humble, or I was brought up to be a snob, or WHATEVER; think what you will and I won't make any effort to correct you.

All tags pertaining to Sandra Leong, or the article, or elitism, or anything that pisses me off, shall be deleted without explanation. Don't like my censorship? Too bad. Take it some where else.

Eh shit see la I forgot what I wanted to post about.

In that case, I shall go watch Jinno (squee!) in Tokyo Dogs- Um, I mean, mug for Lit.

Heh this is particularly ironic. My facebook news page just got flooded with this guy's numerous status updates which are supposed to be funny, but really aren't, and his joining of his 292852th group. And best of all, the latest group he joined was "Shut up, you don't know how much everyone wants to punch you." Wonderfully socially aware.

6:01 PM
Monday, April 12, 2010

There is a marked lack of appreciation for Jinno in Tokyo Dogs!

I am annoyed. I have been trawling through the web for the past hour or so, and through all the Japanese words in the official website, but there is only ONE ITSY BITSY TEENY WEENY picture of Jinno-

Oh wait. Two.

Anyway I'm quite annoyed with that Yuki girl! Why dump a bloody mafia boss for a COP? There are, like, billions of cops around.

LOOK.

LOOK AT THE STYLE HE HAS WHILE HOLDING THAT GUN. PLEASE LA EVEN THOUGH I LOVE SHUN I ADMIT HE DOESN'T HAVE HALF THE STYLE THAT JINNO HAS.

AND SHE DUMPED HIM EVEN THOUGH HE WENT ALL TOUCHINGLY "Let's go Yuki. You're the first person I ever trusted." Though not in those exact words, because that would be weird. BUT STILLLLL. His eyes are so awesomely cruel.

Shit does it say something about me that I think cruel eyes are hot? I mean, apart from the fact that deep down, I am a fangirl?

You know, I think I want a gun too. It would be fun, you know. To do that Zhanglaoshi thing; he was all "Bu yao ju jue wo hor, wo shou bu liao da ji" (Don't reject me; I can't take the shock) and I'm obviously taking it out of context, because he just asked us if we wanted to buy a Chinese book. I always end up buying them, determined to read them until I've memorised them and they're tattered and everything, but they end up sitting pristine alongside their companions on my bookshelf.

So yeah, "Don't reject me, I can't take the shock." And then if they reject me STILL, I'll turn around, pretending to cry, and then reach into my suit jacket and pull out a gun and go with cruel eyes: "You were the first person I ever trusted. Now you must die."

So I'll have to go around in a suit forever. But who cares.

I just reread the last bit, and I realised how awesome I am at editorializing everything I write into the plotline of a cheesy drama serial. Mr Lee said something about that this morning too, when he said that he saw the matriarch on the streets that day. They walked past each other, looked at each other, and continued on their way.

And HELLO am I the only one who thinks this sounds like an awesome Korean drama? You know, cue emo piano music, guy walks past girl, they turn towards each other, the whole world slows downnnnnnnnn, and the music goes silent for the very split second their eyes meet... and then they continue on their way and the world resumes a tempo. Cue more emotional piano music, and then IT STARTS TO RAIN!!!!!

I said all this to Mr Lee with a rather excited glint in my eye, because I really love editing real life to fit in impossible drama scenes. And then he glared at me and mumbled something about watching too many Taiwanese dramas, which I obviously don't because they don't have Shuns or Jinnos.

I can't wait for SDMA. Guys let's do a video titled something like, selections of the best TV dramas, and then we can film two people going about their normal boring school life, except we dramatize it, you know, with eyes meeting for a fleeting second in the corridor, and then it starts to rain. Lots of it.

I FINISHED TOKYO DOGS AND I HAVE A NEW IDOL.

The Japanese mafia boss (haha TOC anyone?) is SO CUTE. Cannot stand how his gf dumped him for Sou, who just ended up throwing her (like, judo throw) anyway.

I've been spending the past half an hour trying to screenshot his face so I can show everyone and gush about how hot he is, but MAC HAS FAILED ME FOR ONCE !@£(@^($&%(@*($£ I can only seem to take this checkered background.

And I assure you that he is much, much, much hotter than, um, a pattern of checks.

Okayyyy time to do Chinese!

SHUN IS CUTE IN TOKYO DOGS :DDDDDD

Yah so I've been marathoning Tokyo Dogs for the past 2 nights, because I totally love Shun in this one. He's a policeman from America, and because of that he is very, uh, trigger-happy with his gun, and shoots everything he sees all the time, including door locks when he is too lazy to pick them. Or, he blows them up with drink cans filled with aluminium salts, which can reach a temperature of 1500*C when ignited.

Look, shooting stuff all over the place or blowing them up? THAT is a man after my own heart.

AND MIZUSHIMA HIRO. SQUEEE. "I like Disney Sea more than Disneyland! I'm a respectable adult." Super super super super cute manzxszxs. Plus he looks so hot when he dresses like a gangster.

And they all have such nice suits. And so very many guns.

You know, this was supposed to be an intellectual post about something smart, but Shun and Hiro override all logical parts of my brain. Jap guys are too hot for their own good. Can't believe that his mum in the show is actually fangirling over Bae Yong Jun when HER SON IS, LIKE, SO CUTE PLEASE.

I love Wilde's The Importance of being Ernest!

I was reading it in the bus today, and I kept sniggering, because it was hilarious. When I got to the part where Cecily told her new just-met-that-day bf that she had already decided that they were engaged 3 years ago ("Look at all the letters you wrote to me! It was such a bother, having to write them myself.") I giggled really loudly and this teenage couple in front of me got a shock. I think they thought I was laughing at their juvenile antics.

I like teenage couples, generally, except when they start making out in front of me, or "stroking each others' thighs". Then they get really disturbing. But I wouldn't laugh at them. That would be mean and condescending.

And I don't want to be mean and condescending! I, like Gurov, don't want to be logical and mercenary and everything! I want to shower people with love, and be tender, etc, etc.

OKAY, so it's about the 10th time I've told myself that this year. And OKAY, there is this little voice in the back of my head screaming "YEAH RIGHT". But I'm sure all my beloved darling friends believe that I can do this, right? :D

...yeah right.

Forget it I'll be nice another time.

I think Sec 4 teachers are very funny!

During PE, we were supposed to start soccer.
Mr Ng: Does anyone watch soccer?
-few people raise their hands-
Mr Ng: Does anyone support MAN U?! :D
Chenyan: OMG MEEEEEE!!!!! :D
Mr Ng: OKAY A FOR PE FOR YOU!!!!! -glares- Does anyone support Liverpool? -glares- OR CHELSEA.
-some people raise hands tentatively-
Mr Ng: MUAHAHAHAHA YOU ALL SHALL FAIL PE.

I support both Liverpool and Chelsea, but that's only because they're the only clubs I know, apart from Man U, which everyone seems to hate, so.

But maybe I ought to pledge allegiance to Man U, since that's going to be the only way I'll get an A for PE. All balls in general are attracted to my face, and that doesn't bode well for the next term. :/

9:54 PM

I should really stop going to school if I'm sick. Because I get really bleary, and I don't process what's going on, and stuff goes in one ear and out the other bypassing the brain. And that's bad.

Because I went home, decided to take a power nap, and knocked myself out for 3 hours. I only woke up when my mum whacked me on the head with a pillow to tell me it was time for dinner.

And then I mentally reviewed the day's events, and realised that I had somehow gotten involved in YAWP (yup the one with run-on sentences) and that the proposal is due on Friday. Yippee.

No potato today. I did, however, falsify a donation to my ORA card under the name of Rachel's adopted baby potato: Jimmy Potatoskin-Teo. Hee. Crystal went crazy with her whole army of backward names, like Sarah Haras, Samuel Le-Umas, Maggie Meegor Eng (which isn't backwards, but is still retarded nonetheless) and her dearest darling Llessur Gnow.

On that note, I wonder why Philo dept can't come up with more realistic names for our Philo worksheets. I mean, hello, "Cherry Tan"???? How many people do you know named Cherry? At least come up with something funny right huh. But at least according to a statement made by a Philo teacher not on behalf of anyone and taken out of context: "We decided we didn't know what 'cool' was."

Anyway I really need to stop getting distracted. I was painting for awhile before I took my nap, and I was reading someone's Facebook status while squeezing out green paint. I rarely ever use green paint, and my white paint tube (which I use the most often) is pretty much empty and takes a really hard squeeze to extract a tiny drop, so you can kind of guess what happened. I forgot to watch the amount of paint coming up because I was reading Facebook, so when I looked down and found a huge pile of green paint I was, um, quite stunned.

So yeah. This post is completely unfunny, and I apologise, but I'm really sleepy and sick. -pitiful eyes-

Ms Picca was reading out an announcement to us today about, um, Yawp, or something like that. Apparently the HCJC people love their acronyms. And their run-on sentences, which seem to be punctuated solely by commas, in describing all the things that should really be in multiple sentences, but they simply decided to cram into one really super ultra long sentence, which made her cringe halfway through reading it, and go "Oh, man, this sentence is run-on."

So even though she tried to make us sign up and support them because they evidently spent a lot of effort on the acronym, we didn't want to because we are all very busy people who hate run-on sentences.

Nah, kidding. I like run-on sentences, except when they appear in my Lexile test, or Poe. Then they kind of suck.

But I digress! I was going to talk about sluts. Someone some long long long time ago mentioned a "slut" in her essay, and apparently someone called Calixta, of "The Storm", a "slut". I mean, just because you sleep with your ex-boyfriend even though you have a kid and a husband, who're both worried about you, doesn't exactly make you a... okay, it does. But still. Like we discussed in Lit, she had good reasons to, and most of all, you just don't write the word "slut" in an exam.

So we were thinking of other words that could be used in place of, um, "slut". We came up with

1. Hussy
2. Vixen
3. Hu li jing (which is basically the same thing as vixen, but could be handy in insulting people who don't understand Chinese)
4. -prissy tone- loose woman
5. ala Ron Weasley, scarlet woman
6. ...and then we ran out of ideas, whereupon I check my thesaurus and find
7. Harlot
8. Floozy
8. Tramp
10. Strumpet (OMG DAMN CUTE CAN)
11. Trollop
12. Wanton (not the noodles kind)

Who knew there were so many ways to express a certain unsavoury word? I love the sound of "strumpet". Strumpet, strumpet, strumpet. So much more stuck up than "slut".

Damn I just realised that by posting all this up people will know what I'm calling them next time. So I can't just go "YOU STRUMPET" and then pass it off as a compliment. Oh man. See the sacrifices I go to for you guys?

I am miserable.

My tongue hurts, and I can't eat anything except ice cream, which although tastes awesome, is kind of not very good because it's not very filling and it makes one fat.

So nowadays I spend my time either sleeping, or watching Nodame Cantabile, because I can't find the energy to do anything much else.

And after changing my blogskin back, no one has tagged! D: I should have made all of you sign agreements to tag in exchange for my, uh, not burning your eyes? -looks pitiful in an attempt to garner tags-

Yah anyway I think Nodame Cantabile is awesome. I love watching romantic dramas. Especially the part where he racks up, like, $300 worth of cab fares chasing his gf, and yeah.

The only bad thing is that my mum is watching it with me too, and now she thinks that I ought to be able to play like the people in the show, never mind that they're probably professionals and I don't even practise, much.

But oh well.

Except there's this guy who sounds freakishly like smallboi, and looks a little like him too. And all the guys in the show are really pretty. Can't stand Jap guys. Plus they all have longer hair than me, now that I cut it. I tried being a Glendon and go short, so that I wouldn't have to go to the barber all the time (because seriously it gets ex) but now it's really really really REALLY short! D:

Okay la I think it still looks fine, and it'll grow, but yeah.

Doesn't stop me from being miserable because I can't talk or eat.

Spent the better part of yesterday night trying to work out ONE programming question, which I didn't even manage to solve, so I'm feeling kind of stupid and depressed now. I hope RJ's ICC doesn't conduct entrance tests, because I'm going to flunk it in comparison to the likes of... um, certain silver medallists whose names I don't want to write here because it might just inflate their already blown up egos, so, hmph.

Did you know RI has a computer talent programme? Me neither. It's apparently the comnerdgeek's equivalent of SAP or MEP. I would totally have applied, if they had an RG equivalent. But then again I probably wouldn't have gotten in, so it's all for the better I guess.

Oh well. I'm going to sleep.

Yes, it was an April Fool's joke.

Yes, I forgot about April Fool's until approximately 6pm when I logged on to find Unixkcd.

Yes, I then rushed out the joke in about an hour or so.

No, my brain hasn't spoiled.

No, I do not have a laogong, nor did I spend my whole day watching movies and shopping with him; I spent a delightful day at National Library doing research for CHAOS, which is incidentally why I forgot about April Fool's.

So yeah. Set your minds at ease, and let's now return to the very very intellectual topics that my blog so loves.

LIKE, PINK SHOES WORHZXS!

Kidding.

But, um, I do actually still have to do Chinese zuowens, so, yeah. Read my archives or something. Toodles!
