Bet you thought this was going to be witty. But in the interest of Internet safety and all that jazz, I shall refrain from divulging highly sensitive information, including age, telephone number, and weight. I guess a name is ok though; how else will you know it's me? (But seriously, kids, don't talk to strange old men on the Internet)
I do adore owls though. But you already knew that so I guess that's ok too.

I think I just had the most o.O moment of my entire life; but first I must provide some background and context.

On Friday at the HP Canteen:

Yuhui: "Dammit, I cannot catch the mouse I want in Mousehunt!!"
Zhiyang: "Maybe you must change your DP. Cos now your DP chases all the good mice away LOL."

Now that everyone recognises this as a rather thinly veiled suan at Yuhui's looks, I can provide the o.O incident:

vic the diva :)
tsk
eh you changed your dp LOL
11:06
Yu Hui Feng
yah...cos i was getting suspicious abt mousehunt not catching the mouse i want
11:06
vic the diva :)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
OH MY GOODNESS
11:06
Yu Hui Feng
noooooo its super super super suay!
11:06
Yu Hui Feng went away
11:06
vic the diva :)
i cannot believe you actually believed zhiyang
did you not realise it was some epic suan
11:07
Yu Hui Feng
i know!

LOL
HAHAAHA OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS HILARIOUS
plus damn pointless la
you change to a dp still featuring yourself
obviously no mouse will come right
11:08
Yu Hui Feng
11:08
ehhhh ok wadever

Sigh my mum is like some epic suanner. Just because she went for the JP Morgan corporate run thing- because EVERYONE in her company went anyway- and walked the whole way, she insists on wearing her souvenir T-shirts around like she's some epic sports person who regularly runs marathons lol.

Meh, but then again I shouldn't talk- I usually start to swagger a little when I wear my "Archer" Team Raffles shirt; although that has on occasion led to concerned friends with their pre-conceived "Vic as the anti-jock" notions to ask why I was limping.

OMG Royal Wedding~

Goodness me Prince William whatever happened to your hair! You used to be so adorable aww.

When I grow old, and retire, I want to move to England and live in the countryside, and I will wear pretty colour coordinated suits with matching hats. Or if any English prince is interested in marrying me I ABSOLUTELY ACCEPT; I want to be part of the royal family!!!! Shiny shiny jewels ahhh.

Anyway today I went for training despite feeling unwell, and I guess it paid off because I got my form back, woohoo. I am finally shooting at standards comparable to what I was shooting at during interschools last year, and yay I hope it'll continue to improve ^^

And before that I went for CLL, which was awesome because we talked about existentialism (in Chinese, yes!) and post-modernism. I am very proud to say that I understood EVERYTHING, although much of it was due to Mr Lim's lessons on existentialism and emphasis on buzzwords angst, anxiety, absurdity; and also RALA training! Dissecting A Clean, Well-Lighted Place ftw, ahh.

I went to reread my Sec 4 Lit stuff, and felt nostalgic.

Someone fainted in Math lecture today; I bet there are going to be people niaoing about Math pwning girls after this. Anyway that was like a morning's worth of drama la some girl shouted and there was this huge flurry as they tried to move her out of her seat, and Yuhui stupidly asked: "Is someone in labour?" After some deliberation (and a very loud: "ARE THERE ANY RED CROSS PEOPLE HERE???????" from the teacher) he and Jemteoh went to go save the day, haha. Amusingly only Jemteoh was of any use ._.

I quote Weijie here: "Nothing for us to do la, all those Red Cross people will flock over there. One will do mouth-to-mouth, and another will do [sic] PCR."

He did not understand why I couldn't stop laughing at him. "It's PCR what! They do PCR don't they? The pumping chest thing?"

Interestingly enough, if you poke people and get their DNA and then subsequently clone them then it's kind of ok if they die cos they can just be, uh, cloned.

DAMMIT LOL I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, HAHA

I've been sick since lunch, so be kind to me.

Teehee, story of my life nowadays.

Anyway it's true lor things have been going better than expected lately; I got secret keeper of the most awesome CCA on earth haha even though I thought I screwed up my interview really badly ): But whee I am excited! Hope I can live up to expectations though, and that I won't let down my fellow EXCOmates.

And tutorial tests have been Better Than Expected too!!! I actually passed Econs, and Bio; the latter being amazing because of my past record of tutorial scores, and the former being even more amazing because of the general trend of Econs scores, LOL. And Chem was also a wtfbbqyay considering how I completely screwed up the first 2 questions. ._.

Anyway KI is fun fun fun fun we spend our lessons reading stuff online, because Mr Booth is stressing out over College Play, and thus we have pretty much free reign once we complete our assigned readings for the day. Today we had Descartes' 5th meditation, which was pretty easy, and then we just spent the rest of the time trawling Wikipedia for random stuff. Usually we are guai and stay on track (unlike the HP kids, who were talking about fruits today) and have loads of fun reading philosophical articles-- I relieved my childhood by reading on Objectivism!

But then of course sometimes we end up sidetracking and reading other things; they range from the somewhat related (zhuang zi meng die, in CHINESE!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I'd managed to convince Mr Lim to do Chinese philo in Chinese during PEP, sigh) to the rather unrelated (horror comedy, like "Killer Condoms" WTF HAHAHAHAHA)

Simple English Wikipedia also provides endless entertainment. I was bored, so I decided to read the SEWiki page on Existentialism, and I found the cutest quote ever:

"Dostoevsky also wrote Notes from Underground, which is the story of a man who cannot fit into society and who feels sad."

Totally undermines the anxiety and angst that we used to do in PEP, haha.

Sigh, I felt a total rush of nostalgia for PEP days, when Mr Lim used to book the nice room with skunk chairs at the back of the library and do what he claimed would be a "short session", but would invariably end up about 3 hours long. Ahh existentialism. It used to make me super depressed haha but somehow it's really just so addictive.

life is like...
Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Having sickened of hearing Yuhui grumble "life sucks..." for about the 4390439th time that day, Deenie and I decided to draw up a treaty whereby the first one who says that taboo phrase would have to treat the other 2 to a drink.

But since that day was an Emo Day we decided to make full use of the last few hours to wield the "l-s" words freely- and we came up with a list! "Life is like a vacuum. Life is like a lollipop." And there was a rather dirty one suggested by Yuhui which I shall not even post here, eww.

Since today, however, the ban has been instituted, and alas- I have been the first to fall. I maintain though that this was through no fault of my own! Weijie tricked me into it: he was complaining about how his classrooms for Wednesday were on the 7th, 4th and then 7th floor for 3 blocks, and instinctively I suanned: "Your life sucks."

Just my luck I happened to be sitting right next to Deenie and Yuhui, and they all stared at me expectantly and went "Orhhh." in a totally accusatory tone. ):

Deenie has fallen too! She was commenting to Zhiyang about something or another, and again The Phrase slipped out! So tomorrow I have milk tea to claim, yay.

Surprisingly, Yuhui has yet to slip up. He is holding out on us, urgh. Frustrating; but Deenie and I have faith that he will succumb too, especially when he starts to feel a little rich. And then I will swoop in and demand that Wang Zai milk drink thing. Snee hee hee.

--

SRP today was, surprisingly, not a traumatic experience! I followed Xinming there, since he knew the way, and I didn't end up lost and wandering around NUS sobbing like a puppy this time. Whee. Xinming actually talks quite a lot :D

The lectures themselves were pretty, ah, unproductive. LT33 is super conducive for sleep, and Xinming did just that- he walked in, folded out the table, and promptly fell asleep. I did Math tutorial :X Everyone was mugging la I heard the Hwachong people behind talking about nucleoluses, except when they were sleeping on the table.

Anyway I have a quote from Yiwye that really tickled me a lot:
"wts at least he recognised you. he (referring to a Twin, josh/calebfoo) walked right past me. so i stabbed him with my finger as he walked past."

I realise how much being in JC has spoilt me.

I mean aside from becoming more bratty- Xinyuan would probably interject to say that it's impossible for me to get more bratty than I already am, but there you have it- I have also developed a sense of entitlement to a lot of things.

For example, the guys in our class are generally gentlemanly and hence often hold open doors to the LT and classroom for us. Guys like Wendy do it automatically, and others only do it when consciously trying to gain brownie points teehee, but most of the time they do it all the same. Hence when faced with a door, I automatically walk right through, without actually stopping to check if someone is holding it open.

Which is why I walked right into a door, when my father neglected to hold it open for me. -___-

Fml I have been sneezing the whole damn day and as a result of the congestion plaguing my nose, I sound about an octave lower. :(

Oh well- tomorrow promises to be eggciting :D

I just need to find a jacket that I can wear to school, and thus must be warmer than my current gray jacket. Which I actually bought from japan during winter time, so.

I have the cutest white coat ever, but I think if I brought that to school people would really judge me.

Sigh, gym training tomorrow too! How will I survive :( BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Ahhh I meant to study tonight, but I am stuck on Q14 on Tutorial 4 and there isn't anyone to help me ): Bleh must learn to be more independent >(

Anyway I decided to take a break from mugging Math to read Philo stuff, but that made me even more sleepy and I just crashed for about an hour and a half ._.

Then I put on Nodame, and everything just went downhill from there.

AHHHH CHIAKI SENPAI WHY YOU SO CUTE ):

Okay rrrr I need to stop fangirling.

Kinnari showed me "My Jeans" today, and I think it sucked all my brains out ._.

I suddenly have this urge to watch it over and over in loop, and show all my friends, and also watch Friday and listen to Baby.

But hey, how can anyone not love a line like "A B C, 1 2 3, that girl wore her jeans like me/I bet she's mad/cos I look fab/HA HA HA HA JACK MY SWAG."

Class camp passed like a blur for me, but I shall do my best to recall stuff and post a "funny blogpost".

But hmm yeah okay being hardworking nerdcakes, we went for Bio O and stuff like that in the morning before all trundling off to the Innovation Centre together; where we all camwhored like crap hahaha. Mrs Ellingsen turned up halfway through the briefing, and we all excitedly waved and mouthed "HIIIIIIIII MRS ELLINGSEN" and she also excitedly waved back! So cute squee I think she loves our class, albeit reluctantly like she said :P Heehee our class is so awesome.

And then we took the bus to Changi Village! Being smart our class piled all our bags on like 4 seats, and the rest of us all sat together and sang Disney songs. Luckily I didn't sit in between Rachelandkester. That wouldn't have been TOO AWKWARD or anything. Except that they might end up making out across me, or something -_- Kester was being an ass and tried to trip me up when we reached Changi Village, but hah hoochays look our for each other and Rachel pwned him :D

Bought lunch, and being noob Yuhui didn't know how to hold those sugarcane plastic packets properly tsk tsk. Some people in our class went to buy breakfast, and then we put it in some cooler box thing and got on the boat to Ubin. Ugh it is a scary experience trying to step onto a boat that's constantly rocked; especially when everyone instinctively moves to the left for some reason and the boat sways madly D:

Anyway something I shall never understand is how our classmates sleep so much! They even used the 10 or 15 minutes boat ride to nap, wtf. But anyway we got to Pulau Ubin, home of my secondary school (Hee Yiwye Crystal Rachel Pulau Ubin Sec School peeps ftw manzxszxs!) and saw PUPPIES SQUEEE. One had a really bad leg, and kept limping, poor thing! ):

Hmm after that we hiked to the campsite, which was like about 3km away. Heh because of my health problem I got to put my bag in the van, and basically just hugged my bottle and camera for most of the way. :P The camera was put to good use though; many photos were taken of people, mudskippers, an elusive hornbill, and about every single damn giant spider on the way. I flatly refused to go near those and just lent my camera to everyone who asked for it, which soon proved to be a dumb thing to do-- I had a grand total of 821 photos after the camp -____-

Ah ah ah but anyway I am very proud of Yuhui cos he finally learnt to camwhore!! I lent him my camera to take a photo of some giant spider or another, and then he turned it the other way around and tried to take a photo of himself LOL. Then of course I had to photobomb la hahah I finally understand why Min Li does that all the time SO FUN HAHAHA. But yay the first guy- ok la pseudoguy; his gender fluctuates according to the whims of Deenie and Celline lol- in our class has been converted to camwhoring! The rest shall soon follow YAY :D

We reached the camp, and had lunch- my spoon still has a label written in puny handwriting that says "Victoria Yeow/Year 1/RGSRCY" on it, which shows just about how often I go for camps. Then we pitched our barshas, and I was mildly useful by holding up the pole and then putting my skillz to good use by hammering the tent spikes into the ground. Yay target board setting up has done some good. Anyway of all the UG people present only the Guides/Scouts and Wendy were of any use haha they practically did ALL the knots and stuff while everyone just stood around pretending to be useful hahaha.

Then we played some games where we were supposed to earn materials to build a catapult, and that was against Rachelandkester's class lol. Our catapult was not bad la hahaha the Scouts and Guides again showed their prowess by making awesome knots and building a tripod practically single-handedly. I took some damn awesome jumpshots while everyone was jumping rope :D Min Li was mean to me -sobs- When she passed me a bunch of ropes, she suddenly screamed "ANTSSSSS" damn loud in my face and I was reduced to a mound of quivering jelly. ):

Haha then we tried to do some cooking, but the guys in our class ended up camwhoring and pretending to be part of some emo boyband. Quite cute la haha they managed to look quite like a boy band! :D Yuhui the househusband brought SPICES to class camp; he'd packed them inside a mess tin and triumphantly took them out to show off. Dinner was oooookay la haha I can't really comment since I ate my pasta without sauce (it had onions ewww) and practically had to wash down every single bite with swigs of Pear Tea, which Yuhui bought for me HAHAHAHA as my angel! Ahhh pear tea is awesome la I shall buy a lot more in future.

After dinner we went to our barshas, and sang songs together. Shaw Shiuan brought his guitar and we all had this giant chorus session :) Yiwye and I tried harmonizing Dedication (or was it later on? I don't remember) and we were quite successful haha, at least in my opinion hehe. We tried teaching Yuhui how to sing, and Yiwye is convinced that he's actually secretly some musical prodigy who hasn't been discovered yet.

Hmm then we took a walk down to a nearby beach, and thanks all those who stayed close to me so that I wouldn't get lost and die in the woods :,) I am very touched :) But what was even more touching was that Yiwye had gone to prepare this damn awesome surprise-- there was a tree with lightsticks and notes to EVERYONE in the class ahhh squeee I love that girl so so so much. Then everyone did some dares and stuff, and Shaw Shiaun suggested one for Raga: "Kiss the guy on your left" before realising that HE was the guy on Raga's immediate left. HEHE SUBCONSCIOUS DESIRES EH.

The stars were quite pretty to look at; as was the moon. The stars weren't as bright as the ones I saw in Perth in P6, but they were still brighter than what you usually see in Singapore anyway. Yuhui pointed out the Orion belt haha my astronomy knowledge is really quite lousy. Some day I shall endeavour to learn all the constellations!

Then we went back to the campsite, and conveniently ignored the in-bed-by-12am rule and sat up in a shelter to have a giant class HTHT. We talked about what we'd be at 27-- Wendy was going to be king of the world, but he'd have to fight Nol for it; and Zhiyang would be queen and Yiwye would be their princess. :D And then Shaw Shiaun would call them up to go have coffee. A sidenote-- when asked what he would be doing at 70, if he was going to be a coffeeshop uncle at 27, he replied "clubbing". (Y) Min Li has about 3 weddings to attend, HAHAHA.

The thing about ghost stories is that you can never end up not telling them. Everyone agreed "yeah ok let's not tell ghost stories", and somehow that devolved into "eh omg wait there's this damn scary place in RI-" and well... yeah. The scaredy people formed a micelle OMG so cute! And then the brave souls sat on the outside, and tried to face their backs to each other so that it'd be less scary.

At about 2:30 we all just gave up and went to sleep. Some people decided to go out and sleep on the road, but because I didn't want to get run over in my sleep I decided to go squeeze in the barsha. Woke up at about 530, and the post below this testifies to that haha. About 7 everyone started waking up, and I woke up again and discovered that my hair was FREAKING GROSS. The thing about morning dew is that it gets EVERYWHERE, and I woke up with disgustingly damp hair. Then I crawled out the side of the barsha and all the morning dew ran down the side on me D:

After that the girls woke up all the remaining sleepy guys by singing Friday and waving Banana Nut Crunch around-- after all at 7 in the morning you gotta have cereal-- and we had breakfast! Wendy did shilianpai in exchange for Banana Nut Crunch teehee. We also had grapes ahh what a healthy class :)

Oh Yuhui was being annoying and translating everything into Chinese again, so he was talking about "xiang jiao jian guo cui" (Banana Nut Crunch LOL) But then we weren't very sure what nut was, and after a bit of argument he started shouting at Xinming, who was still sleeping. When Xinming finally woke up grumpily, Yuhui asked him what "nut" in Chinese was, and Xinming gave him the most classic "WTF?!" look, growled, and went back to sleep. HAHAHA SO ADORABLE LOL.

Then Raga got up, looked at the mounds of bread that we had- we'd bought the gigantic family pack things, and a TIN of kaya and a huge bottle of nutella- and pointed at Yuhui and said: "MAKE ME A SANDWICH." But haha being a headstrong and independent woman, he refused and we all made our own sandwiches by spoon mounds of nutella on bread and then swooshing it around.

Then we sang a few more songs, but we decided that it was too difficult to find a song that everyone could sing, apart from the batch song and the institution anthem, so after a while we just gave up.

Then we went to some cannon place, where groups were supposed to climb through a tunnel and "escape". I didn't go cos it was dark and scary and it's not very wise to scare yourself if you have heart problems; skarli the next group to go in trip over my dead body. Apparently it was quite fun though haha the girls came out, and they crept around to the exit when the guys went in and made creepy sounds; Yiwye made her disturbing band piece sound, which kind of sounded like sobs, and Deenie screamed but that failed because all the guys recognised her voice. (LOL)

After that it was back to camp, and we slacked around for awhile before lunch. Celline braided my hair! :) Girl bonding activities are always so much fun hee. Lunch was okay, we played murderer and I managed to kill 2 people before I got caught oops. We did the most awesome lunch cheer ever: it goes "KALYANASUNDARAM RA-GA-VEN-DRA" with claps :D Then after that Raga gave us all permission to eat hehe. We had a major angel-mortal revealing session and lol Yuhui turned out to be my angel O.o Hehe oh well I guessed it correct HAHAHA. Anyway I tell you it is damn hard when your mortal is your angel as well you end up trying to be nice to each other and ending up at an impasse. When we were playing this game that was like Uno Stacko, we all wanted to grab a block ASAP before the tower got too difficult to work with, and we kept trying to give way to each other until he was ungentlemanly and grabbed the block first. Ah well whatever score 1 angel point for me yay.

Debriefing next; and again all the guys fell asleep! ._. The guys all sleep in this creepily similar position- one leg bent and the other straight. I got a picture of Shijie, Raga and Yuhui sleeping together like that so bromantic! Yuhui was posing like a swimsuit model, but he got paiseh and deleted the photo HMPH SO ANNOYING.

Sigh then after that began the long walk back to the jetty, and we stopped over at the village to drink a sweet drink. Celline camwhored so much that my camera actually ran out of battery LOL. So at that point my photos stopped. ):

We took the boat back, and carried random camp stuff, and everyone fell asleep on the bus back. Except me, yay. :D

It is nearly 6 am- why is no one awake?

Usually I sleep to an indecently late hour, but today I woke at 5am despite sleeping at 2am the night before. Going to have to pay off a huge sleep debt today, but whatever. Sleeping outdoors is decidedly uncomfortable.

To make things worse, I can't find my specs. I'm wearing my normal pair now, but the whole point of bringing this pair was as a spare for the spare, should the spare die. Which I sincerely hope it hasn't.

I have nothing to do. For the past 15 minutes I've been looking through all the photos taken of the past few days- noting how ugly I look in some of them and then promptly deleting lol- and I've been to the toilet, braving the bees, to run my fingers through my hair and attempt to poke it into some kind of shape.

But still, my classmates remain steadfastly asleep.

Surely someone must be waking up soon.

Another shallow diversion from studying Econs:

IFFFFF I ever get a musical boyfriend, I hope I shall one day be able to play Spring with him; either the violin or piano part. Although I think girls should play violins haha. After listening to Haokun I totally agree with him that it is THE piece for young lovers to play.

Anyway my mum is in total support of this idea; usually she tells me not to date until I'm like ancient and stuff, but recently after rewatching Nodame Cantabile she's been pestering me to get a conductor boyfriend. Not like cute conducters (OMG CHIAKI SENPAIIIIIIIII AHHHHHH) will like me anyway right my playing so noob. -__-

But hey I am damn proud of myself because today during lunch there were prawns, and I happily put my newfound dissection skillz to good use and cut open the back to show everyone the digestive tract and its surrounding nerve cords. Yay me.

Mmm damn I really should go practise piano now, even my Moonlight is in shambles T_T
